Privacy Policy

1. About this policy
This policy explains how the Style Blend iPhone app and this website ("Style Blend", "we", "us") handle your information. Style Blend helps you collect fashion influences, photograph your clothes, blend your influences into a signature style and find what your closet is missing.
By using Style Blend you agree to this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details. Your email address and a password. Passwords are stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider; we can never see them.
- Inspirations. The names of the influences you add, their type (for example, fashion icon or brand), how strongly each should pull your blend, your notes, and any reference photos you attach.
- Closet pieces. Photos of your clothes and their details: name, category, colors, style tags and notes, whether written by you or suggested by AI.
- Blends and gap reports. The styles, palettes, outfit ideas and shopping suggestions the app creates for you.
- Messages to us. If you email us, we keep your email address and what you write so we can reply.
Information kept only on your iPhone
- Sign-in session. A token that keeps you signed in until you sign out.
- Photo cache. Copies of your photos so the app loads quickly. Signing out clears it.
- API key. If the app asks you for an Anthropic API key, it is stored in your iPhone's secure keychain. It is sent only to Anthropic, never to us.
Information collected automatically
We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Like any internet service, our hosting and AI providers receive technical information such as your IP address and request times when the app connects to them, and keep it in their logs for security and reliability.
If you choose to share crash reports and diagnostics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may share anonymous crash data with us.
3. How we use it
We use your information only to run Style Blend for you:
- to create your account, sign you in, and sync your closet across your devices;
- to tag your clothes, blend your influences and find gaps in your closet;
- to find shopping suggestions that match your style;
- to answer your support requests and tell you about important changes to the app or this policy;
- to keep the service secure and fix problems.
We don't use your photos or closet for any other purpose, and we don't build advertising profiles.
4. AI features
Style Blend uses Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, for its three smart features. When you use one, the app sends only what that feature needs to Anthropic:
- Tagging a piece: the photo of that piece.
- Blending your style: your inspirations (names, types, strengths, notes and reference photos) and a description of your closet pieces.
- Finding gaps: your latest blend and a description of your closet pieces.
Your email address and password are never sent to Anthropic. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, content sent through its API is not used to train its models. Anthropic processes this content under its own privacy policy.
AI suggestions can be wrong. You can edit any tag the app suggests, and you decide what to wear or buy.
5. Who we share it with
We share your information only with the service providers that make Style Blend work, and only as much as each needs:

Shopping and Pinterest links open in your browser only when you tap them. What happens there is covered by those sites' own privacy policies.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger or sale of Style Blend, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
6. What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your personal information.
- We don't show ads or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We don't make your closet, photos or blends public. There are no profiles or feeds.
7. Camera and photos
Style Blend asks for camera access so you can photograph your clothes, and photo library access so you can add pictures you already have. The app only uses the photos you choose. You can change either permission at any time in your iPhone's Settings; the rest of the app keeps working.
Photos are resized before upload and stored in a private folder that only your account can open.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you have an account. When you delete an inspiration or closet piece in the app, we delete it and its photos from our storage. When you delete your account, we delete your account and everything in it within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep something longer. Our providers may keep backups and logs for a short period before they are erased.
9. Your choices and rights
- See and edit. Everything we store about you is visible in the app, and you can edit or delete it there.
- Delete your account. See how to delete your account. This removes your account, inspirations, closet, blends and photos.
- Get a copy. Email us and we'll send you a copy of your data.
- Sign out. Signing out removes your session and photo cache from that iPhone.
Depending on where you live, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and California, you may have additional rights: to access, correct, delete or port your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Where the GDPR applies, we process your data to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract) and, for AI features you choose to use, with your consent. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights. To make a request, contact us; we'll reply within 30 days.
10. Security
Data travels between the app and our providers over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Your records and photos are protected by rules that let only your signed-in account read or change them, and your API key is kept in the iPhone keychain. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you about any breach that affects it as the law requires.
11. Children
Style Blend is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
12. Where your data is processed
Our providers may process your information in the United States and other countries whose data protection laws may differ from yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.
13. App Store privacy details
A summary of the data Style Blend collects, as shown on its App Store page. None of it is used to track you.

14. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
